Hero of the Month - November

Updated: Nov 18, 2024

This month at Cooks Hill Vet, we’re excited to introduce Milo, the sweet and brave 4-month-old Staffy cross who has quickly stolen our hearts.

Milo arrived at the start of November after either jumping or falling from a height, resulting in a swollen leg and a severe limp. A thorough physical exam and digital x-rays revealed that Milo had suffered a spiral fracture to his tibia. He was sent home with strong pain relief that evening and returned the following day for surgery. Dr. Darren performed the corrective procedure, realigning the bone, placing a pin, and securing it with wire.

Milo’s recovery journey will take time, which can be tough for a young pup (and his family), but with rest, medication, and plenty of love, we’re hopeful that he’ll make a full recovery.

Through it all, Milo has shown incredible bravery and resilience, and we’re so proud of this little trooper.

You’re our Hero of the Month, Milo!
